Delete"In education it isn't how much you have committed to memory or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't. It's knowing where to go to find out what you need to know and it's knowing how to use the information you get." --William Feather
DeleteAll stakeholders should provide whatever resources available for the students to use in their learning and it is the students’ responsibility to explore through the materials and look for what’s applied for them. As teachers, we try different kinds of strategies to help the child learn including multi-media. Now, we are looking at technology as an important source to help improves the child learning. Referring to the quote, it doesn’t matter how much we committed to the child’s memory or want the child to learn to be successful in life. It is how much the child evaluates things in his/her life. Thorndike’s theory of learning, trial and error explains how people learn through trial and error. According to Thorndike, learning takes place by trial and error. Thinking about the quote I share, makes me want to pick sites that is not only for teacher’s purposes but also for student’s purposes. Stakeholders, we need to provide resources for the child and it is the child to apply what fits to his/her way of learning. voicethread is one of the sites that I have assessed. I pick voicethread because it is best for students and teachers use purposes. Multi-media is one of the strategy bring engagement in my classroom. I use voicethread to tell story with my students using images/pictures. Using multi-media in my classroom eases the frustration among ESL learners and of course the teacher. Using voicethread, students can create their story telling using pictures. I want to provide something for the students to try out. Now it is the students chance to explore and find out about the website. Dimdim is a web-conferencing tool that I would like to share with my fellow classmates. I like to share this web-conferencing tool with my classmate because it allows users to do conference online. Teachers can use it as a way of communication between colleagues and parents who have access to internet/computer.
